Funchal marks International Day of Solidarity

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People was marked yesterday in Funchal, at Largo dos Varadouros, with a rally called by CPPC, CGTP-IN, MPPM and Projecto Ruído.

Carolina Cardoso, of the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC), reaffirmed the urgency of establishing an immediate and permanent ceasefire, an end to the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip, and of providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population, demanding peace in the Middle East and the fulfilment of the Palestinian people's national rights.
